The Story So Far

Hello visitor, my name is David and this is my website. I am a general purpose geek with a strong interest in most things web development related. I currently work and play in Peoria, IL. During most days I find myself revving up the JavaScript engine behind closed doors on top secret projects at MultiAd. I have an amazing family, my wife Kim and two sons Tyler and Noah accompany me on this journey through life.

I have been creating digital sets of interconnected pages in some fashion since the early 1990's. When it was time for me to choose a concentration in college this choice was simple. Five years later I entered the working world and for the past 9 years I have worked on all aspects of web development. My current title is Web Design Manager @ MultiAd.

When I'm not working or spending time with the family I love to pass time playing games. My favorites range from video games to extremely geeky board games; Pretty much anything that gets the old brain kickstarted and moving in a healthy direction.

Lost Syntax is designed as a place for me to grow in my various disciplines. The site is currently powered by Ruby on Rails and running on an Ubuntu slice from Slicehost. While most of my professional web development experience has been in mod-perl, I have recently grown quite fond of Ruby & Rails.
